About

I wear many hats these days (don’t we all?), but I’m happy to be able to share my crafting ones with you. I’m Carol, a military wife and stay at home mom to three (sometimes) wonderful children. I grew up loving trips to the fabric store with the multitude of colors and textures and pattern books. Oh, the pattern books! Flipping through them was like dreaming that I could be a different person just by changing my clothes. Both my mom and grandma made clothes for me and after a short stint during adolescence when I hated anything homemade, I learned the basics of garment sewing from my mom. I happily jumped back into the hobby as an adult and haven’t stopped since. A ribbed scarf in the pages of one of my Burda magazines led me to the world of knitting, and now I have a yarn stash in addition to my fabric stash. I also cross-stitch intermittently, dabble in canning, garden badly, and make an awesome brownie.
