It Got Chilly So I Started Knitting Again

Winter weather in November? Say it isn’t so! It did however get me to cast on a new project that I had queued on Ravelry but no plans to start. I’m using heathered purple Plymouth Encore, which has aged in my stash for five years, to make Carrie Bostick Hoge’s Conifer Cowl from her Swoon Maine book. This is on 24″ size 6 Hiya Sharps and I am flying through the cowl thanks to the worsted weight yarn.

    • I’m always amazed at the awesome yarn I have in stash and wonder why I didn’t use it up ages ago. This isn’t my favorite acrylic/wool blend as I prefer Berroco Vintage but the color is outstanding with distinct red and blue fibers adding to the depth of the purple tones.
