Conifer Cowl

I finished up Carrie Bostick Hoge’s Conifer Cowl in just a few days of proper knitting.  I found the Plymouth Encore to be a touch fuzzier than I would have liked, so the stitch definition is not as sharp as I wanted.  However, it was a pleasure to work with in my hands as I can be picky when dealing with a high acrylic content.

I started the project thinking this would be my cowl, but my daughter has snagged it from me and wears it 24/7, which is the highest compliment I can think of.

It Got Chilly So I Started Knitting Again

Winter weather in November? Say it isn’t so! It did however get me to cast on a new project that I had queued on Ravelry but no plans to start. I’m using heathered purple Plymouth Encore, which has aged in my stash for five years, to make Carrie Bostick Hoge’s Conifer Cowl from her Swoon Maine book. This is on 24″ size 6 Hiya Sharps and I am flying through the cowl thanks to the worsted weight yarn.
